Relationships & Couples
Relationships are meant to be sources of support, connection, and joy— yet they can also be where we experience our deepest struggles and pain. Whether you're struggling with communication breakdowns, recurring conflicts that never seem to get resolved, emotional disconnection, intimacy issues, or navigating major life transitions together, these challenges can leave you feeling frustrated, lonely, or hopeless about the future of your relationship. If you're longing for deeper understanding and genuine connection but don't know how to bridge the distance, I'm here to help. I work with adults one-on-one who are navigating relationship struggles, as well as couples who come in together seeking support for their partnership. This includes romantic relationships, friendships, parent and adult child dynamics, siblings, or any meaningful connection that needs attention. Together, we'll explore the patterns and dynamics that are creating distance or tension, and work to rebuild trust, understanding, and harmony. Through compassionate guidance and practical tools, you'll learn to communicate more effectively, express your needs clearly, and truly see and support each other. My goal is to help you create relationships where everyone feels heard, valued, and deeply connected.

The Process of Working Together
Step 1:
Book a Free Consultation
Your journey begins with a free 20-minute consultation where we can get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. This is your opportunity to share what you want to work on—your challenges, needs, and goals—and the type of support you're looking for. I'll share how I can help you, explain how I work, and answer any questions you might have. There's no pressure—just an open, welcoming conversation to see if we feel like the right match.
Step 2:
Complete Your Intake Forms
If we both feel it's a good fit after our consultation, we'll book your first session. Before we meet, you'll receive intake and informed consent forms through Jane App to fill out electronically. These forms help me understand your background and what brings you to therapy, and they also cover important considerations like informed consent and business policies. If you need any assistance completing them, we can absolutely go over them together—I'm here to make this process as easy as possible.
Step 3:
Your First Session
In our first session, we'll continue getting to know each other and dig a little deeper into your goals and the challenges you're facing. This is your space to share your story at your own pace. I'll listen with curiosity and care, asking questions to help us explore what's really going on beneath the surface—but always meeting you exactly where you are. There's no rush, no judgment, just a safe space to begin this work together.
Step 4:
Ongoing Support & Homework Invitations
As we continue working together, I may offer homework invitations—tools, practices, or resources to support you between sessions. These aren't mandatory, but they can be powerful ways to practice what we're learning and integrate new strategies into your daily life. While we can accomplish a lot during our time together, the real transformation happens when you bring these tools into your everyday experiences. I'll support you in finding what works best for you and your unique journey.

FAQs

The duration and frequency of therapy looks different for everyone, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer. Session frequency depends on your unique needs, goals, and what feels manageable for you—including your schedule and financial situation. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that honors your pace and preferences, adjusting as needed along the way.
-
Booking a session is simple! You can click the "Book Consultation" button to schedule directly, or reach out through my contact page to send me a message. I'll get back to you as soon as possible, and we can find a time that works for you.
-
Whether therapy is covered depends on your specific insurance plan, so I recommend reaching out to your provider to ask about mental health benefits. RTCs are commonly covered by insurers like Blue Cross, Green Shield, iA Financial Group, ClaimSecure, SunLife, and Equitable Life of Canada. Manulife and Canada Life are on a case-by-case basis. Other insurance may cover our sessions, which vary by plan. While I don't currently offer direct billing, I provide you with detailed receipts and any documentation you need to submit your own claims.

Yes, I am a 2SLGBTQIA+ allied therapist, providing affirming care for all gender identities and sexual orientations. Your identity is honored here, and I'm dedicated to offering a supportive, inclusive space where you can feel truly seen and valued.
-
Your privacy is incredibly important to me, and everything we discuss in our sessions is kept strictly confidential. That said, there are a few legal and ethical situations where confidentiality may be limited—such as if there's a risk of harm to you or someone else, or if required by law. I'll explain these exceptions clearly during our first session before we begin any deeper work, so you have full informed consent and feel completely comfortable moving forward.
-
Your privacy matters to me, so if we happen to cross paths in public, I won't approach you first—I'll leave it entirely up to you. If you'd like to say hello, I'm happy to acknowledge you; if you'd prefer to keep things private, I completely understand and respect that. Your comfort and boundaries are always my priority, and I'll follow your lead.

Yes! I offer online counselling through secure telehealth via Jane App, so you can receive support from the comfort of your own space. I also offer in-person sessions on specific dates and times. If you're interested in meeting face-to-face, please reach out, and I'll share availability with you.
-
The most important thing is to come as you are—there's no need to have everything figured out. It can be helpful to think about what you'd like to work on or any goals you have in mind, and be ready to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. That said, I'll always meet you exactly where you're at, so there's no pressure to prepare perfectly. Just show up, and we'll take it from there.
